PHYSICAL GUIDELINES FOR ALL RIDERS
Rider weight is limited to a maximum of 220lbs and for individuals from 175 to 220lbs, the rider's weight needs to be in proportion to their height. We limit rider's over 175lbs to one per group. All riders must be in good physical condition and be capable of mounting/dismounting a horse without the use of a block in the event we do any dismounting while on the trail.
POLICIES
We reserve the right to reduce the length of a ride if we feel a group is not capable of handling a trail they reserved for or if weather conditions are adverse for a particular trail. In the event that we must do so, the riding rates will be adjusted accordingly. All of our rides are private--that means only your group--and are guided by professional, experienced wranglers. Safety is our utmost priority so therefore we pace each group according to the experience and capabilities of the LEAST experienced rider. Basic instruction is given free prior to departing our corrals and we won't head onto the trails until we feel comfortable that each and every rider understands the fundamentals of riding our horses. The time taken for basic instruction is not a part of the time you reserved to ride so please take that into consideration if you are on a schedule. All rides are weather permitting and reservations are necessary in advance. You don't have to stay at the Bar M in order to ride, however our ranch guests are given first priority on horseback riding availabilities.
WITH ALL RESERVATIONS OR INQUIRIES, WE NEED EACH RIDER'S AGE, HEIGHT, EXACT WEIGHT AND AN ELABORATION OF YOUR RIDING EXPERIENCE SO THAT WE MAY SELECT A HORSE WE FEEL MOST SUITABLE TO YOUR SIZE AND EXPERIENCE LEVEL. EACH HORSE IS ASSIGNED A MAXIMUM WEIGHT THAT IT CAN COMFORTABLY & SAFELY CARRY SO IT IS NECESSARY THAT YOU ARE HONEST ABOUT YOUR WEIGHT.
